Rick Story went 2-1 in the Professional Fighters League and amassed an overall MMA record of 21-10 in his MMA career. He holds wins over Johny Hendricks, Thiago Alves, and Gunnar Nelson. When Story did not renew with the UFC he came back to MMA because he felt like he had, "Unfinished business" in MMA as he told me last June at PFL 3 in Washington D.C.
He was looking into being a Firefighter or Police Officer and he certainly is young enough to pursue another career. He went on a ride-a-long while he was transitioning from the UFC to the PFL so I hope he is free and the time is right for him to go full throttle into that.
If not, the PFL is going to have a 2019 season and I'm sure they would have him back if he gets the itch to return.
