The Drive to Work with DMiLLiZ

Song Creation : This song is too sexual, but that is how the riddim ( beat) spoke to me this morning so I went with it.

I usually create songs while driving . This particular #riddim , it’s the third time trying to vibe a tune to the #beat but I am yet to find something that I want to actually record. So basically this is the third chorus I have created for the track. This kinda thing happens sometimes. Other times it is one go and I found the perfect vibe that I feel good about and want to record.

The creation process - Usually I just let the beat play and hum a melody and then add the words is as I go. I usually start with the chorus. Once I think I have something, I record the performance with my phone to see how it sounds and to save the melody. A lot of the times If I don't record it, I lose the essence of the melody from that moment. After that I will sit with the chorus and think up verses in similar way. Sometimes I may sit down and write the verses, but rarely. Usually it is all done in the car.
