This was the second best Ridley Scott/Adam Driver movie to come out this year.
It was good. Lady Gaga is really solidifying her status as a solid actress. It's also refreshing to see a movie with a complex female character who is also far from being a perfect person.
This is a weird thing for me to say about a Ridley Scott movie; but, the cinematography was actually noticably not great. There were a lot of bad visual decisions made.
I'm also not in love with the Sunset Boulevard story structure in a movie that's longer than two and a half hours.
Some of the worst accent work I have ever seen in a film. Except for Jared Leto who went full Super Mario and it somehow worked better.
I noticed Driver's accent dipping in and out on a few occasions. Jared Leto almost pulled a full Gary Oldman. If it weren't for the advertising I never would have recognized him.
Still pretty good, though.
