Moses and the law: Do what is right and good in the LORD's sight, so all will go well with you. Deuteronomy 6:18

Deuteronomy is the last Book of the Pentateuch, and this book attributed to the prophet Moses contains a series of speeches made by the prophet before the arrival of the Israelites to the promised land. And among the most important elements of this book is the promulgation of the Decalogue in the Second Speech of Moses, and this series of precepts are exposed the book with a very specific purpose, be the source of all the divine wisdom of Israel: "Faithfully obey these laws. This will show the people of the world your wisdom and insight. When they hear about all these laws, they will say, ´What wise and insightful people there are in this great nation!´" Deuteronomy 4:6.
This is why Moses warned the Israelites not to be carried away by deception, that is, the idolatry of the Canaanite people, and apparent goods such as money or happiness, only with the compliance of the law is the true life, something that Jesus also taught when he met a rich young man who asked him how to obtain the eternal life, and that is why Moses expressed himself with these wise words: "You must diligently obey the commands of the LORD your God—all the laws and decrees he has given you. Do what is right and good in the LORD's sight, so all will go well with you" Deuteronomy 6:17-18.
The law of Moses, as the prophet himself explained, is an expression of that wisdom that comes from above that orders man to blessedness, and as the history narrated by the Sacred Scriptures has shown, when the Israelites lost the fidelity to the law, due to the hardness of the hearts, they lost everything, even the slightest trace of happiness and hope. Because, in addition to the imperatives or precepts enumerated by Moses, there is a spiritual principle that is the basis of the sapiential books in the Bible and that unfailingly accompanies the fulfillment or abandonment of the law: "The LORD protects everyone who follows him, but the wicked follow a road that leads to ruin" Psalm 1:6. The Book of Deuteronomy intelligently teaches the true spiritual path for man.
