The kingdom of God is here: If the righteous receive their due on earth, how much more the ungodly and the sinner!

The book of Proverbs in his wisdom expresses a truth that later would be taught by Jesus when speaking of the Kingdom of God: "If the righteous receive their due on earth, how much more the ungodly and the sinner!" Proverbs 11:31.
The Kingdom of Heaven, the domain or empire of divine perfections is here and now, and not in the life after death. All our actions have a reward in this life, beyond God's judgment in the future. This is one of the most important teachings of spirituality and ethics.
This law of retribution has many expressions in the Bible: "For they sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind." Hosea 8:7, "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows" Galatians 6:7.
When religions are emptied of ethics, and of their highest principle, the golden rule: "Do to no one what you yourself hate" Tobit 4:15. That is when everything comes down to blind faith and thinking that the problems that we cannot solve in this life, God will fix in the hereafter; reasoning of this type is a serious heresy, that is, a teaching of the error.
Things have a very simple reasoning, we live in a universe governed by ethical laws, and if we practice the error for more faith that we have we will reap suffering and curse; and if we are assertive, uplifting, and progressive, constantly acting on ethical principles, we will reap a blessing.
The book of Proverbs is a sapiential book, that is to say, a book dedicated not to the teaching of the law of Moses but to the teaching of the science of wisdom; and all the biblical wisdom is resumed in the Psalm 1, the Psalm of the two ways: "For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction" Psalm 1:6.
When Jesus proclaimed the Kingdom of God in the Sermon on the Mount, he took Psalm 1 as the basis of his teachings, the Kingdom of God is a blessing for the humble and the upright of heart here and now; and punishment for those who practice sin and live with their backs to God.
