Final match for gold smashed by Carolina Marin. But Sindhu played her best for those moments.
She has come a long way watching Saina Nehwal win the 2012 London Olympics bronze to being India's alone badminton medal hope in the 2016 Games.
Marin was not missing any single chance to smash a shot. Here Sindhu was playing defensive. For the first set she managed to win at the end as 22-20. But when second set started she was loosing her confidence on every smash by Marin an d she lost the second set.
Third set lead by Marin got her gold and Sindhu got silver. But Sindhu was the favorite player for this season.
Best luck for gold in next Olympic to Sindhu.
21-19, 12-21, 21-15 at the badminton final on Thursday.
