First off, to all those who believe the ship has sailed, you're wrong. This is only the beginning and it will only continue to grow more over the coming years. So there is still lots of time to buy and get some good ROI. However, if you want to buy quick before the price hits $1.00 here are some tips:
First off, I am going to assume you live in the US in a state with heavy regulation on cryptos, i.e. New York. So this is the theoretical minimum on speed of acquisition of the crypto.
Make an account on Coinbase, this is my referral link, but here is the home site so you don't feel like I am taking advantage of you: https://www.coinbase.com/
Making an account on Coinbase is very very quick and sometimes they may ask for ID verification which, if the system is not overloaded, takes anywhere between a few minutes to a few hours, but certainly not days.
If you are in the US, make sure you are using your State ID or Driver's Licence for the verification for they do not support US passports.
If you are outside of the US but are registering a US account you must use a vpn as Coinbase automatically sets your country based on the IP and you must verify using ID from said country, you cannot change the country either (I learned this the hard way).
Once an account has been made on Coinbase, buy Ether using a debit or credit card (there is a small fee and there is a a weekly limit).
My suggestion if you want to buy more than your limit is to max out your limit first, then do a bank transfer(which will take 3 days to a week) for the remaining amount, this is to get your feet as quick as possible and buy the rest of the XRP at probably a slightly higher rate later. You will not miss out on too much profit, so I wouldn't worry.
Once your Ether has been purchaced make an account on the exchange GDAX and send over your ETH.
GDAX is an exchange owned by Coinbase so transfering your ETH to GDAX is free, it is also free to transfer from GDAX to another exchange, this is the purpose of this step.
Now send you ETH from GDAX to the exchange binance which, as mentioned above, is also free from GDAX's side.
Once your ETH has arrived, you can now exchange your ETH for XRP, and that's it! You now have XRP.
Extras:
Once you have your XRP you might want to move it off the exchange(especially if you have purchased a lot).
You can move it to your wallet of choice, I use Gatehub but you can use other physical, software, online, or paper wallets.
To get started on Gatehub go to: https://gatehub.net/ and make an account, submit your identification documents so that you can at some later point in time transfer your USD or EUR and buy XRP directly if you feel the need to.
Copy your wallet address and go to Binance and send your XRP from Binance to Gatehub.
Keep in mind that any XRP wallet will eat up 20XRP that you cannot move. This is part of the Ripple technology you can read more about it from their site here: https://ripple.com/build/reserves/
So I hope this was helpful to you guys trying to buy ASAP, have fun with your Ripple and remember to HODL!
