Ripple is many things, my friends. But it is not exactly a "Crypto currency". not at least in a sense the way it is out there.I know it is based on blockchain technology, but it is controlled by a freaking corporate organisation. Other top players like Bitcoin& Ethereum, are "Crypto currencies" because they serve the primary purpose of "Decentralisation". In addition, Ripple is already Mined, It's just out there, with the owners (well at least 60-70 %). It means there is the game played by banks & other financial institutions for re-establishing their oligarchy in the "Decentralised" future. That is why banks are being targeted.
Bitcoin & Ether are exactly opposite of that. They will distribute the power, value & Wealth to the masses rather than keeping it to the agencies. They are the democracy of wealth. But RIpple want to continue the banks on their path of oligarchy by empowering them with a centralised token (XRP).
As more & more banks & financial institutions start using XRP, they will definitely want the price of XRP stabilised. In addition, RIpple owners will release the chunks from their 60-70% in market every month over next five years. They can inflate or deflate the price on their will. So many banks will look for alternatives to XRP, essentially keeping the price of XRP stable as opposed to increasing it. Banks like Citi , HDFC HSBC are working on their own Digital tokens & they will use their own version of Ripple instead of ripple once the technology has been developed. So,the people who say "Ripple's gonna Triple", really has not looked into the underlying difference between the XRP & other blockchain based currencies

Good points in this post. Good to see I'm not the only one that is thinking about this. The crypto market: High risk high gains!. That doesn't mean that a gain is guaranteed though. There's simply no guarantee in anything in life and especially not in a high risk market. I found this amazing platform: https://www.coincheckup.com Supposingly they researched every crypto coin in the scene based on: the team, the product, advisors, community, the business and the business model. They even score the coins stengths. For example: https://www.coincheckup.com/coins/Ripple#analysis To watch Ripple Investment research report.
