Good points. I had only looked into ripple a little bit and was wondering if I should invest anything into it. I haven't yet and I don't think I will.

    Wise choice.
    It’s probably safer to not only observe the price but see how the usecases situation will progress in the coming few days.
    A lot of people are digging into the sale soeech and promises of R3 and we will get more clarity on the reality Ripple is proposing to the XRP investors.
