When i first heard about ripple it was just another ALT coin to me, however what sparked my interest was the adaption of major banking organizations such a Bank Of America. We can debate all day and night on the outcome should governments clamp down on cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin. One factor that can't be denied is once the banking sector feels threatened like any other business they will respond, and like any major monopoly they have the power to wield. I'm a firm believer in the crypto market, the blockchain technology is here to stay however i cant say the same for some of the coins. There are ALT coins and there is RIPPLE two different things, while BTC , ETH will make for investments they will never be actual day to day currency. In order for crypto currency to function as the fiat currencies do it has to have a greater level of stability and that would be difficult to achieve with the unpredictability factor that surrounds the conventional crypto. This is what Ripple’s chief cryptographer, David Schwartz had to say “Payment systems today are where email was in the early ‘80s. Every provider built their own system for their customers and if people used different systems they couldn’t easily interact with each other. Ripple is designed to connect different payment systems together.”
He also Predicts that “big companies will lose their control over the flow of other people’s money just as they’ve lost control over the flow of information.”
What do you think will ripple be the gateway for all other coins or will it be their rival?
