Revolut, the UK Fintech startup, announced via Twitter their intention to list Ripple (XRP) on their popular mobile app. Chad West, the Head of Marketing and Communication at Revolut, in his tweet posted a screenshot that “depicts” that the app is in the progress of adding the token.
The official twitter handle of the Revolut app with a simple “YES” confirmed the addition.
Chad West reconfirmed the addition of XRP replying the following in the same twitter thread, cited by ethereumworldnews.com:
Revolut is a digital banking app that includes a pre-paid debit card (MasterCard and Visa). The app has also global funds transfer, currency exchange and a cryptocurrency exchange (BTC, ETH, and LTC).
Most of the app services are free of charge. There is also a Vault where investors can lock up their money in a savings scheme. Notably, there is another app feature that enables family and friends to share bills such as when they are dining out. Lastly, on the app users can find an easy way to efficiently budget their spending.
ATM withdrawals in 120 currencies with 26 of those currencies being capable of per-to-peer transfers on the app are available.
XRP addition will consist of another important feature of the app and the whole cryptocurrency community. XRP is known for its cheap and fast transactions. This partnership will also enhance the efficiency of the app as used by more people.
XRP price analysis of the last 24 hours finds it down 2.68% to trade at $0.672. Bitcoin, on the other hand, shows signs of stagnation, being unable to break the current level of $8,261. Ethereum is experiencing a sideways movement while is trading at $685. Both BTC and ETH are down around 2% each in the last 24 hours at press time.
