WHO'S NEXT?
Remember that famous line, uttered by Danny Glover in Predator 2? He had finally vanquished the Predator he had been fighting for the entire movie, the Alien Beastie lay dying at his feet, and at least a half dozen more appear!!! Who's Next is going to be the mantra for Bitcoin, until a new Predator overtakes the Ancient Mariner of Cryptos...
In the summer of 2017, it looked like ETH was going to overtake BTC in total market cap. It did not happen, but it was mighty close. Here's my screenshot and photo-chop projection, during that exciting time: (Warning! MAJOR 'coitus-interruptus') lmao!!!
Ripple has surpassed ETH for the #2 spot, BTC is still showing 'gateway drug' tendencies, in other words people buying in with BTC and then moving it out to higher yield Alt.Coins. I predict this will last as long as BTC is #1 in market cap, which could also prolong BTC's reign. Odd situation, but it makes some sense. It might buy time for the BTC Devs and Miners to come up with a viable upgrade so they can maintain that top spot.
Ripple, on the other hand, is promoted as the mainstream solution for banks to combat the antiquated ACH system. This means Bank$ter$ $olution$ for Bank$ter'$ Problem$ and I advise one to tread carefully on the Bank$ter$ Turf! Predetermined Exit Strategies are required, and a watchful eye. I would seek advice from more seasoned traders!
Basically I am saying that Ripple seems to be TPTB's choice, and this article by @spiritualmax spells that out a little more: https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@spiritualmax/the-ripple-plan-profit-from-this-move Max's way of dealing with Ripple is "Shorting the System" and avoiding it altogether, while staying LONG in the Finite Decentralized Cryptos of BTC, ETH, LTC, and so forth. He is predicting the old "Bait and Switch", either through direct swaps of FDC's for Ripple, or price suppression of these through excessive sales for Ripple purchases. This is a definite possibility, and seems to be what is happening at this moment. As Ripple gains wider acceptance and market saturation, it will be more available with direct fiat purchases, so this might moderate somewhat. I personally do not recommend a huge exposure to "non-FDC's", maybe less than a 25% range. MAXimum!
That being said, I have a small amount set up in Ripple, myself. 5% or so, it's minimal, and all my Crypto Ca$h is disposable "play money" and I do not need any of it for my budget. ~5% is a rather mild bet in my case!
WISH ME LUCK and feel free to give advice on what to watch out for, plus any price predictions where you feel Ripple might level off at. I believe the bank system needs a certain level of liquidity, and this is just getting started! Watch out for TEZOS, an ICO that was founded by a former Goldman-Sachs husband and wife team. What purpose does that oddball coin serve in the Bank$ter$ $cheme of Things? ;) It broke ICO records when it came out, been pretty quiet since then.

BTC/ETH Graph: "yours truly" :D
I have a chunk in ripple since July. I think it will eventually replace ach, or maybe something like it. I like verge and cardano to break out this year. And maybe siacoin, which i don’t own. But it’s a steal at .02 right now.
Time will tell.

Bix Weir says Ripple is the Bank$ter$ coin, so I'm pretty sure it will replace ACH once the system is "moneyed-up" so to speak... Unless major flaws are found and/or another bank-backed coin emerges, like Tezos? I've not kept track of it but WEB-BOT said Tezos was a PUNT, meaning get in for the Pump and out before the DUMP.
OOH-RAH! (from a USMC Dad!)

Nice to see you quoted such a prestigious expert. On a related note, I think TEZOS has a lot of potential already, and I didn't know of it until you told me about the token.
Unfortunately, it may be more of the same. As far as Ripple, I have no doubt in hell it will rise, else how would people's greed get triggered - so getting Ripple, while ideologically wrong, can be a good move financially.
Finally, Ripple can never reach a big price as BTC as banks need more liquidity and a smaller value to work on, so you heard it here first folks.
Cheers Underground.
Good post!

You Mean Danny Glover? lol :P
At least I gave you proper credit! ;)
As far as Ripple Goes, I will be SHORT SELLING in order to extract funds from the greedy bank$ter$ :D I have been planning this for a while, I have no qualms about using their own devices against them! I know you are not judging, just expressing caution. I hear ya, Bro!
I said it's a 5% exposure, but I should have said <5% Exposure ;)

Hmmm, paying off already? Ripple is up 10.7% since I bought in!
It was up even higher earlier in the day, but dropped a bit. 16.7%
earlier, now 10.7% gains. Expect more action on 1-1-18 in the U$A
markets, I just need some expert advice as for a sell target LOL!!!

the highest it could ever possibly go would be 40. At its peak and being generous...banks wont have a use for it if it surpasses that value. I would sell it at 10.

I agree with your reasoning, they do not want an excessively high value to where people would hoard it, and it does show a capped release of 100 Billion Ripple to the system. I suppose that could change under certain conditions. What I want to know is how you come up with these figures, 40 MAXimum and a $10 sell point. Do you think $1T to $4 Trillion is enough for global bank liquidity?
