Driving through the Avenue of the Redwoods and was surprised to see this beautiful river. Wish I had a kayak!

    Looks a lot like Avenue of the Giants @ Richardson's Grove.
    I used to float that river often. The best way is to have someone drive you several miles up river and kayak, canoe, or even tube it back down to the grove.

      Yep! That's where this is at. We almost missed the turn it was tucked back a little then a steep hill down. Thank God for AWD. A kayak or tubing is the next thing we will do here for sure!

        I love Redding so much! I used to go every month with my Stepdad when i was in my teens. Fishing for trout, camping, rope swinging into that freezing cold, FRESH, clean water. Man, do I MISS it!

          Yeah Man! It was awesome. So beautiful and private. We hope to go back there pretty soon. One of our top "would like to buy a house there " places. Climate was wonderful this time of year.
