the NRA, Calguns, CRPA, SAF, and literally every other California and national gun rights organization have been ignoring him, hoping he'll go away. most or all of them make their money with concealed carry. it's regulated, taxed, and requires hours of training and certification. it's the bread-and-butter of numerous governmental branches and private instructors, and thus of the aforementioned groups.
but , as decided in State vs. Chandler and affirmed in District of Columbia vs. Heller, the right to carry firearms openly "is the right guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States, and which is calculated to incite men to a manly and noble defence of themselves, if necessary, and of their country, without any tendency to secret advantages and unmanly assassinations."

I'm a huge second amendment proponent. California is stripping rights from
People left and right. The nra is just as guilty for not helping protect the open carry rights. I'm not a member, they're just another money grubbing lobby.
