-=:[kkdXstylo]:=- How cycling changed my perceptions towards life

It all started when i am as young as 28 years old when the doctor declared i had a gout attack. The stinging and constant feeling of stepping your toes on a piece of broken glass that brought tears to my manly eyes on the first attack. I barely move my leg at all. i cant walk as the stinging is too painfull to bear."this is the end", i talked to myself.

After 2 weeks, I kept on thinking on ways of skipping my daily "Prevention" medications. I cant bear the fact that i had to start eating my meds on daily basis for the rest of my life. This is not the end. I went back to see the doctor and asked. It turns out that the best form of exercise that im left is swimming or cycling. It keeps the blood flow as well as not putting too much pressure on my ankle and knee.

So here goes my journey in 2018, i picked up a bike and started cycling. Well i made new friends which turned out that him too are looking for ways to reduce weight as well as having fun doing it.

It's a enjoyable feeling when you ride a bike. The sense of freedom when the breezing air hits your face, the sense of achievement when you have a overcome a hill. A slow and steady pace is the key for endurance i would say. The key is to keep your pace in checked and always, always enjoy your view. There's a whole lot to watch when you cycle compared to driving on the same road. Cheers to many more adventure on a bike!
