Greetings!

Yesh, I've been out of commission for a while, but behind the scenes I've been working tirelessly to fullfill the dream of getting me and my son Leo (@daabi2006) to Bangkok, Thailand to attend the SteemFest #4.

About a month or two ago, we applied for our passports, and ID's from the police, and a week ago Leo and I had a visit to the police station to identify and finalize the applications by giving our fingerprints and signatures for the documents. We'll be getting them in a week or two.

Last Friday Leo and I also got our travel vaccinations, I got 2 shots, while Leo only had to get one. Still he was feeling quite queasy after having been stung with the needle.

We still have a long list of things to finish before the trip...

(Concerning the trip itself...)

I tried buying the tickets, but doing everything using crypto only does come with its drawbacks. Bitpay and trezor don't want to cooperate, and the Bitcoin flight booking wants to sell Leo an adult's ticket while the airline to be booked from has a higher age limit.

Also, I am undecided on if we are to book the hotel for 10 days, or change hotels half-way to get a cheaper price. I wonder if I should book the cheaper hotel (and flights) week preceding the fest, or the week after it.

I'll have to book the hotel soon though. FOMO is kicking in and I didn't even realize it.

However.

We might just be able to pull it off. I am positive that we will. As long as we don't get unnecessarily excessive amounts of stuff with us, we'll be just fine.
