If you come to the Bay of Islands, then it is a good bet you'll visit Haruku Falls.

It's not far out of Waitangi and well worth the visit. there were lots of people there when we arrived, with a bit of pushing and shoving to get the best view. (not good tourist etiquette).

I waited for a bit to see if anyone would get pushed over the falls and into the river below, which would have been entertaining, but it didn't go that far.

You can also kayak to the falls or take a dinner cruise up to them in the evening, which would be quite nice.

Dinner cruise sounds like a good idea! Beautiful falls. I am not sure what it is about falls but they always attract lots of ill mannered tourists...
