#RockClassic & #MetalWeekend - Whole Lotta Love

in rockclassics •  2 years ago

Hi,

for today's #RockClassics by @uwelang and #MetalWeekend by @detlev, I would like to go to one of my favourite songs that was released in 1969, the greatest year in music for me.

The song is Whole Lotta Love by Led Zeppelin, and it is simply amazing. Just listen to it, loud! It has so much power and so much tension.

It was inspired by a Muddy Waters song, that it is pure R&B, You need love. Love, just the way love is spelled in this song, it is stunning.

There are also some pretty decent covers for it, one from Hollywood Vampires, the mega band made of so many stars. The video is also worth watching.

I like the version from Santana and Chris Cornell, where the voice of Chris can touch some sounds that only Robert Plant did. Gorgeous!

I will close with one of the sexiest version of this song, the one from Tina Turner, which brings so much soul in it.

Enjoy listening!
