Rockclimbing At Reading Rocks Saturday Night

@kelsnm, @docroulston, my sister, her friend and I decided to spend our Saturday evening at Reading Rocks climbing the artificial rock walls! Sure am lucky this building exists nearby as it is an awesome and cheap form of entertainment and excellent exercise! For only 15 USD to climb all day. What a deal and a great family atmosphere inside!

Of course most people can't just climb all day, as it is tiring and can quickly become to difficult to raise oneself any further. Fatigue sets in fast. But is such a great forearm and shoulder workout let alone work on your fear of heights! I admit, although I love to see the world from the view of my birdcam, I kind of hate heights. At least, I felt that way as I began to ascend the wall.. But I knew I was safe, so I push on to the top each time!

A special figure 8 knot is used to attach the rope to the harness of the climber which is wrapped around a pulley system attached at the top of the wall, down to the spotter where the rope hoisting system is attached at the harness. All this to catch the climber in case they suddenly slip and fall, or when the climber reaches the top and is ready to be brought down. Safety First!

Stuff is a little different on the mountain... I typically don't do the real rock climbing.. I leave that up to crazy people like @docroulston and the Feher twins.
