Every year on the 29th of July they put on a non-profit concert with all of the local bands. If you're a rocker like I am you would absolutely love this. It starts at 10 in the morning and a total of 15 bands play till 9 at night. All of the money that is made from selling T-shirts and trinkets from the metal and the mountains goes to next year's event.
This year we had a band come from Japan to play they were amazing and they definitely were the stars of the show. We had people come from Bend Oregon and play and we had people come from Red Bluff. Not only do we have vendors there.... they a
re people who are trying to get their products out there their name out there. These kids that spend their spare time practicing for this event that comes around once a year are true artists and wonderful musicians. When you live in a small community like this it is amazing to see how all of the local businesses donate different things for the drawings for the raffle. It is truly a wonderful thing that we have here in this small community.
If you're ever in California and Siskiyou County around July 29th I highly suggest you come. Not only do you bring your own beer and you sit at the beautiful Park and experience the heavy metal, the mosh pit and you get to witness a community coming together.
