I've become rather convinced that people don't want journalism anymore. At least, younger millennials and iGen seem rather hostile toward it.
There's so much animosity directed at people like Joe Rogan and Dave Rubin for simply letting people talk while not becoming combative like Cenk Uyger that some of the most enlightening interviews that I've ever seen, like Christopher Hitchens interviewing the Metzgers, seem like a distant memory.
Journalism isn't supposed to always be a soap box. Sometimes the job of a journalist is to shut up and let somebody else do the talking.
The odd thing is that Rogan never claimed to be a journalist; but, he seems to have more journalistic integrity than most journalists.
