The Roland SH 2000 vintage Synthesizer

in rolandsynth •  3 years ago

A number of years ago, I acquired a little know Roland synth called the SH2000. it seemed very basic and looked more like a small organ but turned out to be Roland second synthesizer they ever produced. This was back in 1973 when the 'Funny Cat' and 'Frogman' seemed like reasonable names for sounds.
These sounds are preset's, as are all of the sounds on the Sh2000, you can manipulate then via a great filter section and some performance controls but you are limited to what it gives you.

Luckily the sounds are very charming and take you straight back to the 70's and that classic vintage vibe. The prices of these beauties have been going up over the years so I've made a overview and test video for anyone interested in buying one, I've also created a version for 'Kontakt' which can be purchased from http://www.supersonicaudio.com for considerably less than the real thing.
