What is a role model?

To me a role model is someone who inspires others to live in a way that brings people together.Some one who wants to empower people and help them reach their full potential. Someone who promotes living in harmony with nature.

A Steemian Role Model

Being on Steemit we are part of a global community that allows us to reach out to others and share our skills and knowledge. It has huge potential in bringing about changes that we want to see in our individual lives and in our broader communities. Steemit already has very supportive communities put in place, it only needs bridges to help join them all together. A Steemian Role Model is all of the things that @anomadsoul has described. To me it is also someone who works in the interests of the platform to help it grow and evolve to it's full potential, in helping to bring about those changes that bring about a more decentralized way of life. Breaking away from the systems that have carved there way into our lifes.

My Contribution to Steemit

I like to write posts that empower people, that celebrate our many differences and that bring people together. I am a big believer in our capabilities as humans to change our lives. We are adaptable and we have so much strength inside of us, we just need to tap into it.

I write about Birth, trying to provide information for mothers so that they can make informed decisions that can help them have the birth they want.

I write about our relationship with nature, how it has changed over time, how separated we have become and how we can reconnect with nature and in doing so reconnect with ourselves.

I write about motivating people, empowering people, helping us bring about changes we want to see in our lives.

I write about the importance of community, how uniting us all will help create the future we want to see.

I write about parenting, my life choices, hoping to inspire others to do what they want and not hold back.

I like to welcome newcomers to the platform, resteeming their intro's and upvoting their posts to help promote them.

Communities I'm involved in, on Steemit

I am part of the ecotrain community, I really believe in the ethos of ecotrain, to help create a better world. It really promotes content that is inspiring and practical that can reach out to everyone. There latest magazine is a perfect example of that.

I am an author for @familyprotection, helping to bring some light to the many injustices done to children and highlighting our need to be proactive in supporting families in our communities.

I like to support and upvote content that promotes permaculture and sustainable lifestyles, homesteading, alternative education, nature, healthy eating and freedom of choice.

What I intent to do with the delegated Steem Power if I win?

If I win, well even if I don't, I will continue to support these great projects by upvoting their posts and also other projects that may come up.

I will continue to welcome newcomers and upvote them, helping them feel welcomed and part of the great Steemit community.

I will continue to write posts that motivate and inspire people, I want to be part of a movement here on steemit that celebrates all our differences, all our strengths and in doing so bring us closer together.

In the future I would like to create competitions that highlight those differences and strengths and help promote posts of both new and older steemians.

I have faith in humankind and I wish to promote that faith on Steemit and help in making it a vehicle of positive change for everyone on here.
