Ronaldo, Ramos, Marcelo, Benzema, Kroos, Isco and Modric nominated for the 2017 Ballon d'Or
France Football has released the 30-player list of nominees for the award
Real Madrid players Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Isco and Karim Benzema have been nominated for the 2017 Ballon d'Or. France Football magazine, which awards the prestigious accolade, revealed the identity of those in the running to claim the distinction won by Cristiano Ronaldo last time round.
Since the award of the last Ballon d'Or, the seven Whites’ players have won the Club World Cup, the Champions League, LaLiga, the UEFA Super Cup and the Spanish Super Cup with Real Madrid. Madrid are the best-represented team in the list drawn up by journalists from France Football. The rest of the nominees are as follows: Neymar, Paulo Dybala, N'Golo Kanté, Luis Suárez, Jan Oblak, Philippe Coutinho, Dries Mertens, Edin Dzeko, Harry Kane, David De Gea, Robert Lewandowski, Kevin De Bruyne, Radamel Falcao, Sadio Mané, Antoine Griezmann, Gianluigi Buffon, Mats Hummels, Edinson Cavani, Lionel Messi, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Eden Hazard, Kylian Mbappé and Leonardo Bonucci.
