I went to Room 77 in Berlin yesterday for the first time in a long time.
Room 77 was the first bar on the planet to accept Bitcoin.
You should come here if you're ever in Berlin. You'll find interesting things and interesting people. One guy had set up a table with a whole bunch of self-made Bitcoin merchandise made from wood (honestly, his table looked like a miniature German Christmas market ;))
Here he explained us the blockchain...
No, he didn't ;) He just showed us what was inside the block. Not transactions, as one might think ;) but some wooden puzzle kind of game (you can't get any more Christmas-market-y! XD)

The FIAT Money burning machine
In addition to a Bitcoin ATM, where you can buy Bitcoin, they also have a machine now, where you can burn your fiat money. You just put it in the slot on the top and watch it burn...
It's actually from an art installation, but it works! There are actual (former) Euros in there...
I really do have to view it as art; otherwise I would have a problem with that, given how many people there are without any money. Also in Berlin.
Luckily, when a homeless person walked by asking for money, I noticed that most people did give him some. Otherwise it would have been a little upsetting.
If you want to meet everyone from the Berlin Bitcoin scene, this is the place to be. And I hear the burgers are worth coming here, too!
