Your waiting to see the fans of Royal Enfield, Continental and Interceptor 650 will be longer than your imagination. The company's chairman has confirmed it, who claims that the company is still working on twin engines parallel to the bike. He was quoted by the Autocar professional in this report.

This update means that Royal Enfield will delay its global launch, which in turn is delaying its Indian launch. Earlier, it was expected that Royal Enfield will launch 650 twins in Europe by July-August and then will be out in India during the festive period. It seems that it is unlikely to happen this now.

In the 650 cc segment, Royal Enfield was released for the first time in the EICMA bicycle, this year, and this year, Rider Frenzy was performed in India.

It seems that the company is not satisfied with the quality of the engine units and they are ensuring that everything is in the right place. After all, there is a lot for the motorcycle giant in India.

We are working on the final stage of parallel twins on interceptor and continental GT. After that, we will also build capacities, because we do not want to be in a situation where we have a good order book but we do not have delivery. We are in the final stages of the development and construction of the last capabilities.

Rudrett Singh, President, Royal Enfield

What makes these motorcycles special? It is heart - with a parallel twin cylinder, 648 cc air / oil cooling engine, electronic fuel injection and twin exhaust. It plays an overhead camshaft with four valves per cylinder.

650 cc engine puts 47 bhp power and 52 nm torque. It also plays a new six-speed gearbox and a slip-assisted clutch. Many people expect to pay RE for aggressively bikes, with targeted target bracket of Rs 3 lakh to 3.5 lakh, an area where no other 650 cc motorcycle is present at this time.

Royal Enfield CEO Sidharth Lal told the issue of going for the 650 cc motorcycle that it was widely estimated against the 750, keeping its price accessible and staying away from the crowded market place.

It seems that Royal Enfield has learned some lessons from the launch of Himalaya in 2016, and therefore the launch of 650 twins is delayed. An undercooked engine with weak manufacturing quality spoiled the company's ambitions with India's most economical adventure bike.

The company definitely does not want to have this with 650 twins, and we are happy that RE is taking it seriously.
