So, I thought I would take the chance to tell you about the character I am playing in a Kerberos club-variant steampunk game. I have been reading a lot about anarchist thought at the time, so I decided to make the character a Russian anarchist, a follower of Bakunin.
So, Vladimir was born the child of minor nobles under the Tsar. His heritage and position allowed him to go to university. There, he feel into a bad crowd, in between learning English, French and a couple of other languages, as well as the skills befitting a Russian gentleman. During this time, he realised the plight of the serfs, and how the suffered under the yoke of the authorities. Feeling guilty about his own heritage, he got involved with some anarchist cells in Moscow. This did not end well. Soon, Vladimir found himself running from the Tsar's men.
While lost in the forests of Russia, and faint from hunger and thirst, he found a strange house, resting on a pair of chicken legs. Remembering the tales of Baba Yaga that he had heard as a child, he recognized it immediately. Despite his misgivings, the growling in his belly forced him towards the open door.
Much to his surprise, Baba Yaga, as hideous as she was, offered him some stew. After that he fell asleep. When he woke up, the hut was gone, and he was lying alone in the forest, feeling much better.
After he woke up, he discovered that he was able to transform himself into a 15-foot tall Russian bear. This made his escape from the Tsar's men a lot easier, but it also means that Section 7, Tsar's official occult wing is after him.
Seeing as his native land was getting too hot, he made his way to Paris where he connected with the Anarchist movements there, which is where he was when the game began.
