The Short Film and Video Sharing Service is testing a new feature that will allow Stop Motion, also known as sequential shooting or fixed frames, to enter Instagram stories days after the launch of the SuperZoom feature.
The Web site, TheVerge, said Facebook-based Insgram had confirmed the new feature test, after the site noticed the feature between the camera settings in the "stories" feature.
The Stop Motion feature allows you to capture a long series of images and then merge them together to create a GIF video that can be shared in the Instagram feature. Once the video is complete, you can access story editing tools, such as posters and text.
It is believed that the success of the Boomerang sequential feature encouraged the company to offer the "extreme approximation" feature, so the "stop motion" feature may be a prelude to other similar features, after "Instagram" spent a year reproducing all features of "snap chat".
