Background to PTK Problems (4)

in rtl •  6 years ago

The contextual approach is a learning concept that helps teachers associate material taught with students' real world situations and encourages students to make connections between the knowledge they have and their application in the lives of students as family members and communities. With that concept, learning outcomes are expected to be more meaningful for students. The process of learning takes place naturally in the form of activities students work and experience, not just the transfer of knowledge from teacher to student only. One of the pillars of the contextual approach is inquiry or finding which is a core part of learning activities. Knowledge and skills obtained by students are expected not to result in remembering a set of facts but the results of finding themselves, especially in solving a problem given by the teacher in accordance with the ongoing subject matter.
