Собственно вопрос в заголовке.
Привлекателен ли сей продукт с точки зрения инструментария и самовыражения, а не только как возможность заработать "копеечку"?
Может туплю, но напрочь не вижу возможности включать в пост фото и видео, или прицепить опрос/голосовалку.
Нет возможности зафрендить и отслеживать ленту друзей.
Или я ошибаюсь?

всё здесь возможно, фото и видео пока только со сторонних ресурсов, в дальнейшем будет децентрализованое хранилище фоток и видео, чем апвот не голосовалка, можно фоловить пользователей можно "мутить", но пока это в зачаточном виде

Про сторонние ресурсы я в курсе, но это все же неудобство.

Все тут есть у них типа своей Вики разметки, там раздел есть, видео и фото прямыми ссылками с хоста и все норм грузит

Steem такая же платформа для блогов, как и другие. Здесь пока есть некоторые неудобства, но пока все в процессе разработки. Лично для меня сильно не хватает возможности сделать свою новостную ленту. Много времени уходит на то, чтобы найти годные посты среди информационного мусора.
