The France National Rugby Team have dismissed previous head coach Guy Noves and have replaced him with the current Bordeaux coach, Jacques Brunel.
Guy Noves was placed in charge of France at the end of the 2015 World Cup, winning a measly 33% of the matches under his reign, and is the first France boss ever to be sacked.
Jacques Brunel had been in a head coach role at Bordeaux-Begles, and has subsequently left his role to take charge of Les Bleus just over a month before the start of the Six Nations tournament; officially taking charge next week, with his contract believed to be lasting until after the 2019 World Cup in Tokyo.
He was a forwards coach and assistant coach for France between 2001 - 2007, under the management of Bernard Laporte (now the President of the French Rugby Federation).
His most notable successes have been taking Perpignan to the French title in 2009, and most notable coaching role at Italy between 2011 - 2016 before Conor O'Shea left Quins to take charge.
