The distributor of the rumor about Apple's $2.5 billion investment in bitcoin was amazed at the success of his plan

While bitcoin continues to consolidate in a narrow range, market participants are having fun spreading fake news, using a favorable topic of the current year – the participation of institutional investors.

In recent days, the network has seen reports that Apple is preparing to announce the purchase of bitcoin for $2.5 billion. This is probably just the news that bitcoin needs to resume its rise, given the positive reaction to Tesla's announcement of an investment of $ 1.5 billion in February. However, this is unlikely to come true.

The source of the information was a Twitter user under the nickname AltcoinGordon, who was helped to spread it by several other well-known accounts. At the same time, AltcoinGordon itself in the original message refers to" sauces "instead of" sources", that is, to" sauces", and not to"sources". He designed the message in capital letters, thus repeating the style of short urgent news from Bloomberg Terminal and other sources that can cause market fluctuations, regardless of the reliability of the information distributed.

Now, seeing the news about the purchase of bitcoin by Apple in all new publications, AltcoinGordon sarcastically expresses the hope that they will turn out to be true.
"It just got out of control. I can't believe it, " he writes.
At the weekend, another message appeared on the network that the Israeli investment company Israel Investment Fund Group (IIFG) allegedly invested $2.3 billion in bitcoin.
"As part of the portfolio diversification policy, we have invested 2.3 billion in bitcoin. This is part of a global strategy to bring Israel into the future of currencies," the message said in Hebrew.

The distributor of the fake turned out to be quite inventive and not only changed his account so that it resembled the official IIFG page, but also reposted the message using another fake account, which he faked under the popular account "* Walter Bloomberg", which publishes urgent news headlines from the Bloomberg Terminal in real time. At the same time, he did not hide the origin of his IIFG account, and by scrolling through the page below, you could find messages on the topic of cryptocurrencies that are not typical of a serious organization. Currently, the account is suspended for violating the rules of Twitter.
