Hard interval training in the morning

in run •  6 years ago

I started to do different types of training again. I did one on Friday but didn't have the time to do a post about it.

Today I decided to do another one. Why already another one? Simply because I will maybe do a race on Saturday so I need to do the hard session in the beginning of the week. I will simply do a slow run later this week to have enough rest for the race.

So I decided to do an interval training which consisted of:

  • 25' of warm-up
  • 6*500m in 1'52" with 3' of rest between the repetitions
  • 10' of cool down

I managed to do every repetition at the right pace.

And it is currently really nice to run here in Belgium. It's maybe mid-October but the weather is still very good! Still 18°C at 8 p.m.

Good workout! Are you preparing a race?

I don't have a race target now. I just want to train more and maybe be ready for a race once in while :)

No need to be a masochist to run well... but a bit of pain could make you stronger. ;)
