It’s funny how Steemit keeps being useful in my life

True story. My wife is applying for a job. She already has a job, but this is a better job. So she wants it.

But applying for jobs is not like it used to be. You don’t just give them your CV, wait for an interview, and then apply for another job, because the first lot of people never replied.

Now you have to answer questionnaires and do long essays before you even get to submit your CV. That’s a lot of work to put in to get ignored and / or rejected. I guess that’s how the weed out the good prospects from the time wasters.

As usual, I help her out where I can. So for one of the questions that went something along the lines of – You have to come up with an innovative idea to help tackle the obesity problem, I turned to something cool that happened on Steemit.

I am referring of course to RUNCOIN – the crypto currency trailed by our very own @dragosroua. In the trail, participants got paid to run, in RUNCOIN. I was one of the participants and I‘m now the proud owner of just over 330 RUNCION. It was fun to participate and really cool to get paid for running. (it also means I’m now a professional athlete!)

So I suggested this as a solution to my wife and she loved it. So with any luck @dragoroua’s experiment with crypto currencies might just win my wife her next job.

Fingers crossed. We’ll have to wait and see.

Yes: that is a good idea. Tbh, the entire cryptocurrency world is full of good and innovative ideas.

runcoin.PNG@dragosrua, here you go , you have been cited!

Nice one,upvote and followed,

thanks

Runcoin sounds cool, like sweatcoins, which I use. Will give it a try, hopefully it will force me to be more active. Been trying out a bunch of apps that reward activity to try and get healthier, but the cold winter wonderland of Chicago isn't helping with its weather.

I looked at Sweatcoin but they wanted too much info including always on location tracking. How are you liking it?

I like it pretty well, easy to use(at least on android). Just launch it once, set it up and it works. I know its a bit harder on iOS because you can't force quit it or it doesn't get your data. Doesn't suck up too much more battery.

I've seen mentions of Runcoin. Did @dragosroua write up the results of the test or state why it went away?

I think he is still working on it when he has time. But other things have come up, bills to pay, that sort of thing ;-)

Does not matter how unfitted you are, just gently start running....
