Y'know... I'm getting more unsure about Steemit as a platform. I get plenty of curation awards, but it seems like they mean a lot less in terms of rewards than they used to. I also don't really get many comments. Not that I leave many comments, but that's the thing.
I'm just not a very social person. I like writing stuff, and I'm more than happy to carry a conversation with someone, but I rarely initiate those things. At least, I rarely do so on Steemit. Over on Minds, I have random conversations relatively frequently, and I think part of that is because of how Minds allows easier discovery of people you have not yet interacted with.
But Steemit, despite the curation programs and all kinds of initiatives to increase user engagement, feels much more isolated, automated, and... sterile. I've seen several people express the opinion that this platform won't last because there is already a heavy concentration of power within a small number of users, and it's really hard to get started on this platform compared to others. The automation features, while useful to me to schedule posts, can also take things to an extreme and allow people to go into cruise control.
Eh, but that's just my rambling opinion. We will see what happens, but I don't plan on jumping ship just yet.
Here is the lineup for this week:

- Wednesday: Metastasis, Part 17
