I was on a river cruise last week in Bordeaux, France and got out for a morning run before we set off for the day. The ship was docked between the Stone Bridge and the Pont Jacques Chaban-Delmas, the largest vertical-lift bridge in Europe. From the ship I set out for the Stone Bridge and the turned around, ran past the ship all the way to the Pont Jacques Chaban-Delmas bridge. Below is a shot of the stone bridge I took later that night as we cruised up the river.
And here’s a shot looking down from the museum of Wine at the vertical lift bridge where I ended my run. The ship in the picture is coincidentally our cruise ship on its way back from refueling while we were touring that afternoon.
