After the tough week we had with the annual "Ballbreaker" on Sunday followed by a hangover run on Monday, this week's Thursday "Happy Hash" was a real walk in the park - some complained it was too easy but maybe that was exactly what we needed.
This week's hares were "Dogshit" and "Robin Banks"

The day started out with a bit of a stumble as man members turned up quite late and we didn't have enough spaces on the bus and had to wait 20 minutes for another one to arrive as rush hour traffic approached. This is why I have said it many times before and honestly folks, it doesn't matter if it is your first hash or your hundredth, We need everyone to be at the meetup point at 3:15. If this behavior of turning up at 3:29 because some member are aware the bus doesn't leave until 3:30 we will start to cut off the available seats after 3:15 to the amount of seats remaining on the current number of buses.
Let's get this sorted out folks. I know you are all Hashers so that means most of you have single-digit IQ's, but this is a very easy rule to remember. Let's do better.

Although we got a late start due to the bus fiasco mentioned above, we managed to rush and get the safety briefing done on and get everyone on the trail by just a few minutes past 4:30. Then there were a few more issues because apparently "Robin Banks" and "Dogshit" apparently didn't much feel like taking anyone into any trails. 90$ of the trail, was actually a street. Oh well, we didn't expect much from these two anyway.

We've all seen it many times but it doesn't get old as we ran past the "Grand Canyon Water Park." We gotta get down there one day and see how it is on the bottom side - perhaps a mission for the Hash one day? You guys are meant to be somewhat athletic after all.

It was almost a little bit of a problem because we were trespassing on private property and the staff below made a big issue out of this with a megaphone. Apparently "Banks" and "Dogshit" didn't ask permission which I suppose isn't surprising.

If you are gonna trespass, may as well do it in style and provide plenty of evidence
After barely 5k's of a mostly flat run we were back at the start point and no one got arrested. However, we may have to adjust our strategy with this area just a tad. It gets difficult to claim ignorance when we climbed under a barbed wire fence to get to this part of the trail... you dopes.

Back at camp the beer and ice blocks were waiting for everyone and we kind of suspect that our hosts had already been hitting the sauce while we were out on trail.

The wings were awarded to newcomer "Kang" (because we never really know who to give these things to) and "Suckit" because: Reasons. Whatever, this is rarely based on merit.
The next Hash is on Saturday at the usual meetup point. Let me state yet again, that you NEED TO BE THERE FOR A HEADCOUNT by 3:15 PM at the latest. Please don't make us need to implement new rules that will end up eliminating certain members from participating.

Simply beautiful. Thank you very much for this vivid report. I feel like I was there with you. Except for the dry throat issue which I am having right now ...
