It was a good day: I was cleaning the cabinets and solving some lack of space issues in the temporary home. Felt good. We also went to visit relatives and had pleasant conversation and we ended the day in a local Irish Pub and had a beer. After all that my run was like dessert at the end of a lovely day. On dull days, or rainy days I even prefer to run late in the evening. When there is sun outside I do like to find time and run then. There was also a period in my life when I was running every morning (I did that for 416 consecutive mornings).

Question for you: Do you like to run in the morning, in an afternoon or in the evening and what are pluses and minuses?

When you start to solve a puzzle and you only have some pieces that "have their place" it might be difficult... but this will pass and sooner or later the whole new picture is very clear. Trust the process!

Weather was on my side this evening. All day was medium rain to pouring rain and late in the evening the rain stopped. It was very nice to run in pleasant temperature and nobody on the streets. The streets were mine!Really nice run! I would have go longer, but I have plans for longer runs during the weekend and didn't want to go to sleep to late. Enjoyed this run a lot!!!

Billie Hollidays "all the way" 😉,

grey - my running streak.jpg
I've been running each and every day since the end of May 2016. The Running Streak continues and you can see and follow my daily pics also here: daily runs since 30th of May 2016.

grey - my next running races-001.jpg
Two upcoming races are 2 half-marathons:

  • Istrian Marathon on 8th of April 2018 and
  • Three Hearts marathon. Initially, I wanted to do the full marathon distance. But on 26th of March, I realistically decided that there was simply not enough time invested in the training. "The Move" took its toll but that was more important this year and it's fine.

grey - who is daily runner.jpg

In few words...
I joined Steemit in December 2017. @blockchain48 introduced me to it and explained to me how it works and why I could enjoy it. And I do enjoy it! I like the diversity and spirit of Steemit!
My main topic here is running. I also work on @runningproject (initiator of the project is @toofasteddie) as a Running Witness. I also regularly apply my running posts in #runforsteem challenge.

You might get a better picture of who I am and what I do and aspire for if you read some of my other posts:
- My core daily habit is running. If you do not run yet and would like to try it... I've written a blog: Manual for wannabe runners, where you can find tips and tricks, how to start running.
- As a Streak Runner, I wanted to share more information about this specific running approach. You can read more about Streak Running in my blog All you wanted to know about Running Streak - part 1, part 2 and part 3.
- I am revealing about my first steps in running arena in this post: How I started to run or can a workaholic and sedentary couch potato become a marathon runner?.
- This was my introduction post on Steemit: 2018 is here! Any New Year's resolutions? And who am I to write about this?.

So to be short and sweet, my introduction in #-form would look like this:
#streakrunningday667 #runner #mother #girlfriend #friend #daughter #sister #vegan #steemian #origamicreator #origami #gtdmastertrainer #gtd #gettingdailyrunsdone #bizinsakiden #findyourstrong #runningproject #runforsteem #vsakodnevnitek #runeveryday #runstreak #streakrunner #veganrunners #runningonplants #plantpowered #plantstrong #veganstrong #compassionarhlete #minimalism #catlover #sealover #coffeelover #sincereconversationfan

I like to be out in the early morning when the light permits, when the air is fresh and cool. In the winter, it is different, I would aim to be out in the light and when the temperature is at its highest. But, sometimes, I am working in the afternoon and I think, going out would be just the thing to refresh me. I'm also looking forward to running in the moonlight.

Early morning runs are wonderful - couldn't agree more. I do have a little issue with waking up, but when you are out is just so special! I like the flexible approach that you are describing... you actually try to catch the best part of the day (or night) in terms of weather, light, temperature and atmosphere! Love it!

I loved running in the evenings after work when the kids were asleep, but this was in the summers. When the days get shorter I had to settle for lunchtime runs, which are nice and pleasant but not the same. Now that the days are getting longer again I’ll go back to evening runs. The only thing I have to be careful of is thunder and lightning in the evenings.

For me, it is 50-50 situation. Sometimes I enjoy more in the morning, and sometimes I realize I have more energy at the evening.
I find more important Where do I run, but not When do I run.

Thanks for sharing. Yes, a fine running trail can do a lot for motivation, regardless of timing!

I am also a morning runner, however, when it's dark and cold outside in the winter time I run in the evenings on weekdays and, if life permits it, during noon at weekends. Looking so much forward to Spring and early mornings now!

I think I just might join you in morning runs as well when real spring is here!
