Starting FiftyRunsTillMay
It looks like I have 12 and a half weeks to complete 50 runs. Hmmmmm, 4 runs a week. This would be easy if I could use my runs from when this challenge started. 4 a week... that fits into my training plan so let's do this.
Play time: lookyloo, stairs, photos & lines
Pace: (Mostly) aerobic since I'm doing all of my runs as close to 130bpm as I can. I'm in the middle of the shift to being fat-adapted (I'm leaving out any of the eye rolling words that are associated with that.
Fueling: I ran right after lunch. Salad with chicken. I was low on everything I can eat right now so I had to go out and the plan was to go to the market after. Good news: I wasn't hungry at the end. That was a problem when I made the nutrition changed and hadn't gone back to aerobic runs and even for the first few aerobic runs.
Route: I'm going to write up my 2017 personal challenge as well as details on my 2018 personal challenge that may take the rest of my life. I'm filling in the Strava heatmap street-by-street. I filled in a neighborhood that was surrounded by lines (streets I've run) and also managed to get in some lines that had been bugging me for being missed on previous runs. I also got fooled by one alley but it made for a good line.
Added fun: There was a gorgeous modern home under constructions. The views were phenomenal. The crew chief let me in and I wandered around. I forgot to stop Strava so the house is covered.
On the side of the house there was a staircase to the street below (Rose Avenue). On of my things is to run every public staircase I see on my runs so I had to go down... and back up. Big staircase doesn't help with aerobic HR, especially when the area has some hills and it's a little hot. (Didn't you know that Los Angeles move to the Southern Hemisphere?)
No pangs for sugary carbs when I passed by...
And then there was this guy, left for dead on the street. I'm not a bronie so I didn't pick it up.

Hi, Dan! Great questions. I plan on posting about running and nutrition including why I started running, how to start running since I did it wrong, running tips I've discovered, my crazy running challenges for myself, my move to being fat adaptive (why, how it impacts my running, what I did wrong, etc.) So I'll be answering most of that in long form over the next few months/years.
I've been bumping into it for a few of years. I started HR training in 2014 and had heard about the crazies who do ketosis with it. As it turns out, they really do go hand-in-hand. I've been reading a friend's book The Vitality Secret which details benefits of a ketogenic lifestyle (I hate the word diet) and the harm of grains. It got me tinkering with my diet. I've been helping my brother get into shape first going to the gym with him and hopefully I can get him to fix his diet. Somehow from that and thinking that he should do this here I am... going full keto!
I haven't been keeping a log and don't even know how many days in I am. I do know that the worst of the Keto Flu was Friday to Monday with mental clarity starting on Tuesday. I've pretty much fasted today because I was running around and forgot and don't have the horrible sugar crash that always comes with not eating on a regular schedule. So I guess I'm there or pretty close.
Please keep asking questions and making comments. I chose Steemit because of the community and know interaction is the only thing that will keep me writing.

Wow, those pictures are great, especially the old cars. You don't really get those kind of old cars here in the UK.
Just read your reply above about going keto. I am doing the total opposite right now and having lots of carbs and low fat. I am vegan anyway so have a rich veg and fruit diet, but have recently decided to go mostly fruits, just to see how things go alongside with running lots.
