Weekend Run - A Nice And Easy Half-marathon

This is my weekend "long" run. I initially wanted to do a 33k, in preparation for my 47th anniversary 47km race (it's a thing I do for about 4 years now: every year, for my birthday, I run my age in km). But then I saw I got a really good pace versus heart rate balance and decided to stop at km 21, making it just a half-marathon.

The key metrics here are: average heart rate: 141 bpm (which is under my lactate threshold, meaning I ran from fat) and 7 minutes per km, which is a very decent speed for running under the lactate threshold.

All in all, I got lucky this weekend: weather was gorgeous, temperature just how it had to be and I also was fortunate enough to make my cooldown lap with @raluca, who showed me some of the most beautiful colors of the park in this autumn. Rumor has it she is going to post those on here timeline too.

So, how / where / how much did you run this weekend?

Well done my fellow runner!
Keep on running!

Thanks and likewise :)

I only ran 12 km today but I got to enjoy some forest trails :P
I wrote about it on my blog.

Well done! 12km is a good distance. Do you run a lot?

I'm getting back into it. There will be a trail running contest in January and I want to get ready for that

Good luck with that. Where to?

It's called Faget winter tour http://runnersclub.ro/faget-winter-tour/. It hasn't been announced for 2018 yet.
Thank you for your wishes :)

Restem post . I like your post

Around Siberia you have to run.

Thats cool. Whats the name of the app you use?

Suunto Movescount, I have a Suunto Ambit 3 Run, very pleased with it.

I went to the sports massage to try and get my calf back in working order. 30 minutes of agony later and it does feel somewhat better, some stretching and a few weeks light exercise and I'll hopefully be back out running.
7mins/km is a pace I should try I think. I never ran longer distances so I have no concept of what pace is good for the entire distance. I think Im trying to run out too quickly.

It really depends on your training. A 7min/km pace for a half-marathon should be totally doable if you're not injured. Goof stuff with the massage :)

Great Distance covered : ) Keep running :D

Great @dragosroua. Keep up the good work.

very nice and good post....
