65 days until raceday 🏃

in running •  7 years ago

Today was my first run of 2018, but also my first run since ages. During the holiday season I haven’t been running a lot, so I consider this run as an official start towards my next race. March 11 I have a half marathon in The Hague scheduled, it’s called City Pier City. From the start in the city centre I will run towards the sea, and back. It's nice to have a goal!

Yesterday, a storm went by in The Netherlands, and today the wind was still very strong. Some rivers flooded a bit yesterday in some parts of the country, and today you could still see the aftermath.

I ran with quite an easy pace, because it was my first run since a while and I ran together with my girlfriend. Since the stormy conditions the splits are diverse, but that's totally fine for now.

Guess where I took the picture of the flooded river ;-)

  • Weather: 6 degrees Celsius
  • Distance: 8,84 kilometers
  • Pace: 5:52 min/km

Let's hope for better weather conditions during the next run! My aim is to run 2-3 times a week from now on, so I'll run a time to be proud of in March. Feel free to give any tips and recommendations :-)

Keep running all 🏃

Thanks so much! I definitely will ;)

Good luck with your training. I'm guessing the course is a flat one?

Thanks so much! I live in The Netherlands, so every run I do is a flat one ;-)
