Half marathon training continued #1

Reps 3 x 1km - reps @ 5.12 per 1km 90 seconds jogging recovery

I got up this morning at 05.45am so I could go running as I didn't go last night when I was supposed to. I could of easily of stayed in bed but I have to fight them thoughts as I hate failing so I was determined to get up and train. Last night was supposed to be reps so that's what I did this morning.

I set my garmin up for interval training and off I went. Running fast straight away was a bit of a shock to the system that early in the morning. I was so glad when I'd done the first km and I could walk, well I was supposed to jog but I decided to walk as I could hardly breath. I managed to run the first km in a good time but I can't tell by my stats how I did on the second 2 as I didn't stop the timer, my watch was telling me when to run and when to walk by time. I think I did ok. Hopefully if I do this more often I will get better at it although I really need to get my legs looked at as I am in agony with them. I think it's either piriformis syndrome or hamstring trouble but I am determined to do this and get better at it.

These are the stats from strava

The next lot of photos are from my garmin, they are more detailed with heart rate and cadence but I don't really understand it all. I have my garmin to measure in my miles so then I have it all in both measurements as my strava records on kilometres.

Feel free to analyse my stats and let me know how I'm doing.

Sort Order:

take food with anti inflammation effects and magnesium; etc.

Thanks for your input, What food would you suggest? I do drink a sports rehydration drink I think that has magnesium in it. x

"marketed bullshit"

magnesium tablets; concentred; rather food; where it came from.

Think spinach; also has proteins.

Fun "myth" meat is recycled protein from plants.15940751_1308861515823871_2053848175419846149_n.jpg

Thank you, maybe I'll start drinking some homemade green juice green.

don't forget metal starts the oxidation process and makes many food lose it's power within a much quicker time; it starts to break itself down.

I have not made a solution for itself in my own life style; but it does exist.

muy bueno buen post!!

Gracias. Thank you x

Next time try to run the three repetitions at the same pace. Put a target of 5'20"/km.
Good running session!
Bien hecho!

That was my intention but I I think 5.12 per km was a bit ambitious lol. Will try 5.20 per km next time maybe I will be able to keep that up. Thank you for the advice x
