Fifty runs till May #36

in running •  7 years ago

This winter I'm very motivated to keep at it, but normally I would have had a break today. My neighboor on the other hand is in his own routine and with Christmas approaching, he wanted to go running today ... so I did run #36 today.

  • Weather: 6 degrees
  • Distance: 10,7 kilometers
  • Time: 1 hour and 4 minutes
  • Pace: 5:57 min/km
  • Training Effect: 4,5 = Overreaching

Nothing really special or noteworthy. The weather was very mild and we did our normal route and there was still snow on the paths, see my post from last week by clicking here. So conditions were not ideal, we had to be careful, avoid pubbles and mud and run in parts of snow. Still we kept going at it at a good pace and under the circumstances we were happy with the result.

With Christmas approaching I don't know how and when I have time for my runs, but I'll definitely will keep going. No excuses, keep going!

Hello @wolfje
I did used to run but stopped about 5 months ago. Woke up this morning and took a look at my belly, flaps already adding up. I stood up and took out my gear. I ran well and did some other routines.
I promised myself to run everyday without until maybe I'm too old to run.

I hope you continue to have time to run. You really ran a long distance.

@learnandteach01

Thanks, I love running. This is my normal distance, but I do it max twice a week. If we don't keep ourselves in shape no one is going to do it for us and I won't be able to keep up with my kids.

Love running on snow

Very tough though, especially when it's deep

Very beautiful trail! Well done!

Thank you, it's my normal track, see my other posts for more pictures.

Wow insane pics! I have never had the opportunity to run in snow. Can't imagine it very easy.

It is hard, but not as hard when the snow was 30cm high, which it was last week. Have a look at that post. Where do you usually run?

Road, sand, grass and gravel. Sand being the hardest of those few imo

Oh yeah, I ran on a beach in northern Germany once and that was really tough, I agree. Are you Dutch?

No, I'm from South Africa. I speak Afrikaans which sounds very similar to Dutch. I can sort of understand Dutch speakers when they are not speaking too fast.

How about you? I just found your profile a few days ago so i apologize if you have mentioned so before. I am a steemit newbie

No worries Bud, I've only been on for 3 months, so I'm also a newbie. I'm Dutch originally, but I live in Switzerland and I have the Swiss nationality now as well.

Do you know @extremejogging he's also South-African and he also posts runs for #fiftyrunstillmay

No I don't, but I'll suss out his profile. So for this #fiftyrunstillmay, is it just what it sounds like? Do you have to run 50 times before the month of May? If so, ill give it a crack and blog about it.
