Fifty runs till May No.13: Pancakes run #runforsteem #runningproject

in running •  7 years ago

First of all you probably noticed that title doesn't have 70 in it. As I started this challenge late (mid of January) I am running out of time. I can't run every day so reducing challenge to original 50 runs.

Yesterday was a pancake day but I didn't have any pancakes instead I went for a run. As I skipped club training on Monday I was asked to do Monday plan. Easy run + 1 km improvement test + 3 km tempo. Improvement test is what I was waiting for and I was afraid of it at the same time. I wanted to see my recent form but was afraid to be disappointed after the finish. So I did a 30 min easy run (4.5 km) and did the test. It was one of the hardest kilometers in my life. Everything was wrong, I chose wrong shoes (should have worn new NB shoes instead of old, worn and slippery Nike). I chose wrong route (in one part it had some wet snow on it) and I started too fast ( at the beginning my pace was 2:58-3:01 min/km). But guess what:

Interseting fact: The watch shows 3:45, Endomondo 3:44, Training Peaks 3:46, Strava 3:41.

Congrats on your PR! Onwards and upwards!

Thank You! :)

Great to see a PB despite all those things!

And yes, different platforms interpret and smooth the GPS data in different ways so can throw out inconsistencies.

Good work on your progress.

Congrats on your 1km PR! It’s a bigger deal in the 3 countries that use the Inprrial measurement system as you broke a 6-minute mile!

Also, thank you for spreading the word about our Strava group! I’m wondering if we should all put our SteemIt names as part of our Strava names.

Thank You :)
It is available to recognize people on strava if you follow them on steemit by the names and locations

Yet another thing to remember.
