Warm temperatures after lots of rain is leading to fog (but a bright prospect for the Blues Festival on Sunday).

Friday is my third training session of the week, where I aim for a walk-run of between 5k-7k to maintain endurance. Today I went to the Shady Lane Arboretum, passing several runners on the way, and did some plogging on the way home. It's quite a job carrying a bag full of rubbish and plogging kit nearly 3k back home.

Upside down picture (thanks, steemit, what's the matter with you?) of the spoil from about 50m of roadside down by the Arboretum. There is a bin in the car park, but it was overflowing.

It's half-term here, so the roads are very quiet. An elderly Asian man stopped me by the national road sign showing the route to the M1/M69 junction. He was curious about how to get to Coventry and Birmingham. He didn't seem to mind that I was lugging a black bin bag and grabber with me. But then, he didn't have a car either.

I've signed up for the Leicester 5k Race for Life which takes place in about 4 weeks just down the road from where I live. All my @runningproject posts will be tagged #raceforlife until then and the payouts donated to Cancer Research UK. Thank you for supporting me!

Here's my route for today. I stopped the tracker while I was plogging.

Haha!

Well done, @shanibeer... I'd have problems plogging; I'd want to carry a bag for plastic, one for cardboard, and one for cans... 😆

I know - I was having the same problem. I will probably end up with one of these:
