They wouldn't be working so hard to manufacture our consent if they didn't need it.

Too little, too late. A million people march for gun reform and no gun reform happens. 10 million could march to stop the war machine and the war machine would keep rolling along. Short of a few hundred million people marching to DC and forcefully removing the neocons from power, there is nothing we can do to stop them from committing their next atrocity. They already own all the levers of power and there are far too many sheep who do not question their propaganda.

I'm not saying we shouldn't keep fighting establishment propaganda. Of course we should. And if by some miracle we survive the death of a dominant US Empire, maybe in the future we can bring some sanity back to foreign policy. In the short term though, with the way things are going, we'll be lucky to survive to fight for a better tomorrow.
