I thought Russians were supposed to be good at math.
So much violence, paranoia, and wasting money on weapons, yet over and over and over, with two exceptions (Napoleon and Hitler), the top 20 people to damage and cause multigenerational harm to Russia were Russia’s own leaders seeking to expand and excessively control the Russian people in order to steal excessive personal wealth and power.
I don’t know a single informed person who thinks Vladimir Putin stole less than $100 billion equivalent from the Russian people. The figure I hear most often is $300 billion, making him the biggest embezzler in human history.
And now he has cost the Russian people over $1 trillion in losses based on my net present value calculations. I’ve never heard of a single person vaporizing his nation’s stock exchange, for example.
If ever there were a leader in the modern world who deserves to be assassinated by his own people to save the nation from decades of ruin for each month he remains in office, it’s Putin.
