"The greatest shock to the press was the seemingly frost-resistant locals of Yakutia. School gets canceled only after -50° and markets never cease to work. Moreover, there's always room for beauty." - Russia Insider

You seem to confuse climate and weather. While weather describes short phenomena like storms or the temperature over a month, climate describes the weather over long periods of time (usually 30 years). So individual weather datapoints create a climate. So an unusual cold winter doesn't mean there is no global warming. Think of it like of the course of a (crypto- :D)currency. Only because the course drops one day, this doesn't mean it is not in the progress of rising over a longer term. However keep in mind, that climate is a slow moving thing . Acutally more extreme weather (like this frost) is part of the effects, global warming will have and already shows. Greets! :)

Nothing "unusual" about this kind of weather in some regions of Russia.
