According to BBC News, before police detained Navalny, police searched his office in Moscow. Police seized a number of materials in the office. Russia is scheduled to hold the presidential election on March 18. President Vladimir Putin will take part as a neutral candidate. However, Alexei Navalny can not participate in the election. He has been banned from the upcoming election by accusing him of corruption.
