DIY decorative ladder

in ruthphotostories •  4 years ago

A couple of days ago I made a fun ladder for my sister's classroom (yes, she's a teacher too). I got the idea from a colleague who used a ladder to help students learn how to count from 1-10.

I wanted to give a fun note to my craft so I used bright colors. I believe with a little monkey toy climbing up and down the ladder my sister's student's will learn to count in an enjoyable way. There are so many things a little monkey can do, climb up the ladder one by one, two by two and so on or start climbing down (to teach reverse counting)...

A simple handcraft made in less than an hour (and that because I had to wait for the paint to dry) will hopefully bring joy to some little guys trying to learn simple maths. All I needed was some driftwood from the beach, some paint and my hot glue gun!
